JUNE 29, 2011- 30 Day Cycle

 The 30 Day Cycle

It seems that it takes me about a month to turn a blog out. Normally it wouldn't take me so long but lately, with how crazy life has been, it seems to be loger and longer between posts. I'll try and tame that to maybe a week or so at most and am considering working a 30 (31) Day Challenge in July. I skipped June due to having Lily and barely skirted by with the last but of the May Song Challenge. But it was something to look forward to doing and I almost miss it.

So what have I been up to in the past 30 days? Let's see...

- Lily turned one month old on the 14th. It was amazing how quickly her first month passed. I just posted a blog or two on her page about all the things the last six weeks have brought me and updated her info so I won't repeat that here. But suffice to say that in the last 30 days, the real challenge has been catching sleep and keeping up with Lily.

- Mikol and I "got back together". Sort of. We're still working things out but it's better than it was, which means that I no longer want to kill him. He's a huge help with Lily when he can and will be an even bigger help now that I am going back to work. I am actually looking forward to a future of us.

- Healing. In so many ways. From heartbreak to having a baby. Just recently I told my half sister about Lily and she told me to "fuck off". It hurt, as expected, but I guess I shouldn't ahve expected too much from her since she is the main cause of my current unhappiness and heartbreak. I guess what baffled me was that she was pissed that I didn't tell her I was pregnant and I didn't tell her when I gave birth. I can almost understnd where she would be hurt of ther that... If I lean a little to the left and drink more than 5 shots of Vodka.

- Moving. Lily and I need a place of our own so it's time to move out and find our own life. I think I found one in the Loop and I'm really excited about all the possibilities that will come with having my own place again. I'm certain it will lead to an even better us (Mikola and I) down the road.

It may not seem like a lot, but believe me, when it's your every day life and you want to cram as much into your 6 weeks of babydom as you can, it's quite crazy. Sadly, my movie watching, book reading, shopping adventurous days are coming to a halt when I return to work and as much as that saddens me, I am also happy to be going back.

I'll try to keep up here this time around but as most of you know not to hold me to my word, I won't bother to promise. Stay tuned though as I tend to pop up when you least expect it.

~Ciao
